Early Help Training


INTEGRATED WORKING - This is a Virtual classroom based course. The training will consist of:

  • Introduction to Early Help in Sandwell
  • Overview of Information Sharing and the Lead Professional role
  • Understand when, why and how they should share information so that they can do so confidently and appropriately as part of their day-to-day practice
  • Thresholds Overview
  • The Early Help Process
  • The Community Operating Groups (COGs)
  • The Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)

LEAD PROFESSIONAL - This course will be delivered Virtually and consist on classroom based training including:

  • Role of the Lead Professional
  • Selecting the appropriate Lead Professional
  • Taking notes and recording of information
  • Skills required to be a competent Lead Professional including dealing with difficult situations and accountabilities

ECAF - This is a Virtual training based course for delegates that require both basic and advanced training on the Early Help System.

The training will consist of:

  • How to navigate around the Early Help System
  • How to create a child/young person with siblings and agencies

What is the Difference between an open and closed episode:

  • Attached documents and restrict documents
  • How to create an Early Help Assessment
  • How to record case notes
  • Case recording
  • Organise & Create Early Help Meetings/ visits/ plans
  • How to record Outcome Star and Family Star
  • Closure process
