Public Health has created a workforce development tool to help professionals working with, or commissioning services for, children and young people in Sandwell to identify and respond to their emotional health and wellbeing needs. The framework is designed to be accessible to staff of all levels of experience and expertise and provides a catalogue of learning and training opportunities aligned to the level of engagement based on roles and responsibilities.
Endorsed by the Health & Wellbeing Board and the Thrive Board, we are encouraging staff to use the framework as part of their continual professional development through appraisals and one-to-ones. Additionally, we are asking commissioners to encourage its use amongst service providers in Sandwell.
This valuable resource for anyone who works with children and young people is available to download for free from the Healthy Sandwell website.
