The Internet and Suicide - Guidance for Practitioners

Once you’ve started the conversation, people may want to think about their online activity in their own time. These handouts are something you can give people to take away and consider.

They provide:

  • prompts to help people reflect on how their online activity affects them
  • information on how to talk about suicide and self-harm safely online
  • guides to using safety features and online controls to better manage their experiences online.

Guidance can be found here

Also available here is the Social media toolkit to call on other practitioners to learn about internet safety around suicide and self-harm.
