SUPPORT FOR AT RISK AND VULNERABLE YOUNG PEOPLE: Brook’s 1:1 intervention programme has been very busy this year with referrals coming in thick and fast. As a result of the volume received they are currently having to run a waiting list. Please be assured that Brook are working their way through all referrals as quickly as they can.

BROOK'S MY LIFE 1-1 PROGRAMMES: An early help intervention which aims to awaken and enhance young people’s motivation, knowledge and skill to effectively assess and manage risk, build resilience and improve their own health and wellbeing. The programme is a voluntary goal based programme that can also focus on targeted RSE support. Each young person referred into the service is offered as a series of 1:1 session's with one of Brook's expert education and wellbeing specialists. These can be delivered digitally or face to face.

RSHE SUPPORT SESSIONS FOR SCHOOLS: Brook are offering support to teaching professionals who deliver RSHE. The Autumn term offer will be to give advice and guidance on difficult to deliver topics and build confidence with:

  • YPSI – Youth Produced Sexual Imagery
  • Pornography
  • Condom demonstration
  • Sexual Harassment

Brook are encouraging collaborative work between secondary schools who feel they would benefit from support in delivering difficult topics. The Sandwell Brook service are offering face to face training at school venues, on their training days. If you have a staff training day planned and would benefit from this support, please get in touch.

Brook are also receiving bookings from social care teams and schools to deliver sessions face to face to carers and in schools at Parent’s Evening or Open Days.
