Extra Time provides targeted intervention work across the borough of Sandwell to vulnerable young people who are at risk of
entering the criminal justice system. The programme will provide bespoke 1 to 1 mentoring for young people from school years 9-
13 (13-18 years of age) aiming to build resilience, increasing self-confidence; self-esteem and raise aspirations of the young
people which will build on their existing skill set and steer them away from any future criminal activity. By providing a positive
pathway for the young people, setting individual goals, each young person will have new potential to thrive and hugely improve
their wellbeing. Sessions will take place in a variety of settings including school / college, residential setting and in the community.
