Accessibility details
We will arrange for therapy session to take place in a fully accessible setting to support the client to engage fully. This includes familiar environments like schools for neuro-diverse children. Where language is a factor in communicating constructively with a child, we can access interpreters funded via children’s social care where appropriate.
Staff qualifications
We work with a number of specialist counsellors who are all registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and are experienced at working with the issues of domestic abuse, rape, sexual violence and sexual abuse.
Additional notes
This programme will target children and young people aged 7-18 who have heard or witnessed domestic violence and abuse and whose parent/carer is already a Black Country Women's Aid client. Referrals will come from our adult domestic abuse advocates (DAAs). Our domestic abuse advocates will engage with existing clients so we can help their children through this programme.
