Our programme 'Our Family, Our Future: Creative Arts Therapy' aims to emphasise the important roles that families play in shaping their children's future and the vital impact families can have in working
toward their child's emotional well-being. Trained staff will work with families and help them identify and address their needs in regard to parenting, communication and conflict resolution through the means
of art, lego and music therapy with their children. Our activities will encourage children to explore their thoughts and feelings and express these emotions in many different ways, whilst also teaching parents
the therapies that we use to improve their child's emotional wellbeing.

Schools will make us aware if any of the children they have referred into the programme have any special needs or requirements. This is so we can adapt our activities before the sessions begin and thus tailor sessions and activities specifically to the children's requirements.

Additional notes
The target group of our programme is year groups 1 through to 6. Our programme is aimed at children who need emotional well-being support - perhaps they have a lack of awareness of emotional vocabulary and are in need of new outlets in which they can express their emotions. However, our programme can also be beneficial to those with behavioural issues as it encourages them to express their emotions in a less disruptive manner. Our programme would also benefit children who have autism, anger issues, or even those who are grieving. Since our programme is delivered in schools, if we feel that a child is not engaging or benefiting from our programme but would benefit more effectively from a different intervention, we would communicate this with the school, and work toward a referral together.
