Uniting Faith Communities and fighting against Modern Slavery

03.04.2024

In a world where modern slavery continues to lurk in the shadows, the power of awareness and action within our communities has never been more critical. This unique partnership between Sandwell and Birmingham Local Authority, the West Midlands Anti-Slavery Network, Black Country Women’s Aid (BCWA), and the Violence Reduction Partnership (VRP) brings you an enlightening session designed for faith leaders and community members across the faith sector.

This session aims to equip faith communities with the knowledge and tools to recognise signs of modern slavery, human trafficking, and exploitation. As places of trust, hope, and healing, faith groups are uniquely positioned to identify and support individuals at risk, acting as a beacon of light in their darkest hours.
