‘Building
Brighter Futures’ is the theme of this year’s National Youth Work
Week (3rd – 9th November 2025) and Sandwell Council’s Youth Service and
the Voluntary and Community Sector Children and Young and People's Forum
Steering Group are inviting colleagues from the Voluntary and Community Youth Sector
to join us in a session where we will be sharing the findings from our review
carried out by the National Youth Agency and exploring how we develop
a Youth Offer which helps us to build a brighter future for our young
people.
This is an
opportunity for you to hear about the main findings from the review, to
celebrate how we support young people, for us to identify key area’s that we
can jointly work on and to see how we may collaborate moving forward in terms
of further developing and improving the youth work offer for young
people in Sandwell, ultimately helping them to build brighter futures.
The voluntary
sector plays a vital role in youth service provision, offering
diverse opportunities and support that supplement and enhance traditional youth services,
with the sector often filling gaps in provision and allowing for a
more tailored youth focused approach.
Voluntary
organisations provide universal youth services and early intervention
support for young people, especially those who may fall through the cracks in
the traditional system.
If you are
currently offering services to young people, would like to find out more
about what is available, or would be interested in developing services in
the future, please join us for these discussions. It is important that we hear
from you about what is working for young people, what we need to do more and
where we can effectively work together to enhance what is available.
Taking place on
Tuesday 4th November 2025 - 1.00pm - 3.00pm at Coneygre Arts Centre, Sedgley Road East, Tipton DY4 8UH
