Online Multi-Agency Domestic Abuse training available to officers in Sandwell from April 2023 – March 2024 - training which will be delivered by The Haven via Microsoft Teams.
A 3-hour course which can be offered virtually or face to face. This course offers something for those who are new to ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) as a concept and those with some existing prior knowledge. It is aimed at both those who work with children and young people and those who work regularly with adults.
A 4.5-hour course which can be offered virtually or face to face. This course is aimed at people who already have a basic knowledge of childhood adversity (ACEs) and trauma, who may have also completed the Introduction to Childhood Adversity and Trauma Informed Practice module. In this course we develop the theoretical ideas further and give participants ways to apply their learning to practice and to begin working in a Trauma-Informed way.
This powerful and thought-provoking 90-minute training gives participants an insight into the real experiences of those affected by child exploitation, helping participants to spot signs of grooming and understand how they can help to protect and support children and young people.
This 2 hour webinar introduces the Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) programme. MVP is designed to help young people speak out against bullying, violence and abusive behaviour. MVP improves the culture inside any organisation or community. MVP works because young people become the trainers and influencers. No longer are teachers the only ones who manage negative behaviour.
